| James L. Milinazzo is a lifelong resident of Lowell. He is married to his wife
Anabel and has one daughter Julie. Jim received his Bachelor
degree of Arts in Political Science at Merrimack College and his
Masters in Public Administration at Suffolk University. Mayor
Milinazzo was elected to the Lowell City Council in November of 2003
and is currently serving in his 7th term. In January 2010, Jim
was elected Mayor by his colleagues, a distinct honor he will never
forget. Jim is currently Vice President of Business Services at Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union. He served the city as Executive Director of the Lowell Housing Authority from 1993-2002. He also served as the Director of the City of Lowell Division of Planning and Development. Jim has served on numerous subcommittees including Council Rules, Economic Development, Public Safety, and Zoning. Milinazzo has served the community on numerous boards and commissions: Lowell Plan, Inc., Lowell Development and Financial Corp., Lowell General Hospital, Community Teamwork, Inc., Massachusetts Real Estate Broker, Pollard Memorial Library, Adjunct Professor at Suffolk University, and Common Ground Development Corporation.
